Hi I am using 7i52S + 5i20, I was wondering is it possible to change the encoder scale and set an out put pin high during G0 rapid mode we have separate error tolerances for rapid and linear moves. If we have separate encoder scales and an output during rapid the machine can go a lot faster and we can set high resolution for linear moves. E.g. We can move machine at 15mpm and at the same time we can set resolutions of 1um
Any possibility even using classic ladder

If you choose the right daughter card(s) (ones that don't mux the encoder inputs) those resolutions and count rates should be achievable with Mesa cards without resorting to any sort of trickery.
For example this is quoted from the 7i33 manual "In RS-422 mode, maximum encoder input frequency is 10 MHz, giving a maximum count rate of 40 million counts per second. Maximum count rate may be further limited by encoder counter limitations or rate filters."

Unfortunately the 7i52s does use muxed encoders (Using 10 pins to read 6 encoders rather than the 18 it would take to read them directly.)

1u resolution at 15 Mpm is only a 250 KHz count rate so easily handled by the 7I52S

The following error limit is already proportional to velocity (if ferror and min-ferror are setup properly)
so you may just need to set these to reasonable values to get the different error threshold feature you want

I must have miscalculated, for some reason I was thinking 15MHz.
