An error code and a question

Hi Folks,

I occasionally get the following error from LCNC when trying to load a file generated from AutoDesk Fusion 360.

"Near line 17"
"Radius end of arc differs from Radius to start"
start x-2.4887 y-1.0825
center x-2.3181 y-1.1337 (the coordinates differ from file to file)
end x-2.4839 y-1.0833 r1=0.1781
r2=0.1733
rel_err=2.7096 %

Now I have a CNC Programing Handbook by Peer Smid, if an explanation of what is happening here is available in that book I would be happy to read it to understand how to avoid this, just point me to the appropriate chapter and pages.

My question:
I am clearly missing something here, when I open a file in an editor, I have N numbers at the beginning of each line, in the code preview box at the bottom of Axis the lines are numbered, when I try to go from one to the other they don't match making it difficult to sort issues and understand what's going on.
Can someone please explain why this is and how to overcome this?

Thank you in advance for any help provided.

I figured out the error issue, a helical lead-in value.

I still could use an explanation on the line numbering question.

I should add, a CAD/CAM program I used for a number of years listed the lines of code and they accurately matched the file when opened in an editor and LCNC, I just don't see why they don't match up with the Fusion 360 files.

Greetings,

LinuxCNC reads the NC code as a Text File.

The line numbers refer to the line of code. If you use Nxxx block numbers, these are not the ones LinuxCNC refers to.

If you open the *.ncg file with a Text Editor, look for the option to turn on the "line numbers".

Cheers,

Dave

Thanks Dave,

Makes sense, I'll check that out.

Also LinuxCNC can be a few lines out either way. (It might not count blanks, or something like that)
