HOWTO THCAD-10 with 7i76 board? was created by OPS
Hi All, I have been spent couple days trying to run THCAD board with my plasma based on 7i76e board.
According to the documentation I have phisically connected THCAD output FO+ FO- to 7i76e enc A+ A- input,
added thc component to servo thread in hal file and configured it's with some values.
Despite this there are no any signs of presence THC in my system. Either my THC component is not running or I did something wrong with wiring. The voltage indicator show always 0. I have checked voltage from plasma cable and it is around 1,5 V while arc is on, and 0 when it off.
I would appreciate any help from plasma experts )))

Do you see any activity on the encoder.0.counts output pin?
The scale seems very smally, I wonder if perhaps the calculated velocity is just tiny.

The THCAD card puts out a carrier (for lack of proper word) frequency that when on is there all the time. Open Machine > Show Hal Configuration and look at the encoder velocity. My plasma is something like 115,500. If yours is 0 then the THCAD card is not powered up or wired wrong. Make sure you have 5v on P1 pin 1 and ground to P1 pin 6. That does look pretty much like a copy of my working configuration.
