Yes. I have more a feeling that with my USB-RS485 driver running on a 10ms RT thread that it can not sync or use a user space component with combined servo thread at 1ms, but that is my shot in the dark. This issue seemed to get worse once I created the user space component where I was using IO from the USB driver and IO from the 7i77 (servo thread).

I added some more questions to the previous post, please read it again.
Can you disable the USB to RSxxx driver and try without it?

Hey Tommy can you confirm what port I should be on? I thought you mean the physical port but I know what you are asking now.

I do not seem to have mesaflash on this PC, I did flash it on a different PC once I got the boards new.

I do mean physical port. There are 2, and depending on the firmware on the 7i92 they can be set to P2 or P3.
Had that hickup when i changed the firmware on the 6i25 so i had to connect the 7i77 to the other port.
Check readhmid, as it will show what is configured at what port.

Replied by PCW on topic Timeout Communication Error
The sserial error 4 indicates the there is noise pickup in the cable between the 7I92 and 7I77
Either because of a ground loop or because the cable is too close to noise sources like power wiring

Updating to the latest driver will allow more tolerance of occasional extra character errors
but I'm pretty sure this driver update is in LinuxCNC only

What are the chances of the connector not seated properly?

Thanks Tommy, the board initializes and allows motion. There are just certain instances that create the timeout issues, primarily during a physical estop would be one.
