Good to know you got the input on the BOB working. Is the negative on the sensor (blue) connected to the ground of the BOB?.

Not directly. The whole machine shares a common ground. I can test this tomorrow with spare sensors I have. The eBay deal was for 5 sensors.

Some bob's require to have two powers supplies (5V and say 12V) with the grounds connected together. Do you have a link to the bob?

And yes it has both 12 and 5v supply with common ground. I am using a computer power supply for all my 12v and 5v requirements.
