Glad you got it going!

You will need to start a new thread to configure linuxcnc please. I would like to keep this thread just for the install portion only.

Is this on a VM? Because
Debug file information:
Note: Using POSIX non-realtime
Linux parallel port #0 not found

You are not using a real-time kernel at the moment.... the "non-realtime" indicates this.

Did you make your kernel fully Preemptible as instructed in the how-to?

The reason your ini/hal is failing is because it is looking for a paraport #0 and can not find it.

You might need to reconfigure grub to choose the right kernel.

What does uname -a say?

4.9.4-rt2 is the kernel you are using there right?

Seems to me you when you built the kernel you did not select the fully preemtable option. That is a common latency when you fail to select it. No worries; just build anther one and install it on the same machine. You can easily switch between the two.
