And I tested with sim and I am not able to reproduce that.

I am sure both of you have additional settings influencing the spindle, but without config, I am not able to check that.

Hi Norbert ,
for example ( video ) standard configuration with Stepper Configuration Wizard for Parallel Port .
Then I made buttons in Glade for test ;
ini :
DISPLAY = gmoccapy
...............
EMBED_TAB_NAME = spindleoverride
EMBED_TAB_LOCATION = box_cooling
EMBED_TAB_COMMAND = gladevcp -x {XID} -H custom1.hal  custom1.glade
..................
custom1.hal
net btnincr custom1.hal_button1 => halui.spindle-override.increase
net btndecr custom1.hal_button2 => halui.spindle-override.decrease
setp halui.spindle-override.scale 0.01
it does not affect......0.001 or 0.1 .......
that is all
P.S. Unfortunately, at this time I have only Windows , no Debian Linuxcnc

Hi,

I had a look at your files and couldn't find the reason, but i is probably caused from the VFD component, as the pins seems to work when spindle is off

Someone here to help finding the reason? I do not have spindle feedback and no VFD on my machine, i miss some harware to finish that part.

What hapen, if you change the override to 120 and start afterwarts the spindle?

Norbert (will be out for about a week)

YEEESSSSS!

I got it!
And solved that one, the bug was already in 2.6, so it is quiete old. Thanks to insist to solve that one.
I pushed the bugfix to 2.6, 2.7 and master!

If you need to repair 2.7 (only this one!) right now, please take the attached file, rename it to be gmoccapy without extension and replace the file gmoccapy in /usr/bin/
Owner should be root and group also root, the file must be executable.

or use buildbot 2.7.

Of course make a backup copy of the original file ;-)

Norbert
