Did not know where to put this and could not find another thread with the same topic.
Some Linuxcnc logos curtesy of my brother, more to come.
Ai, pdf, svg etc so they can be edited and enlarged as needed.
Oh well it complains on file extensions so i will zip them.
New files fully editable, no font required.
Can not upload .ai file to big, even zipped.

Tommy, very nice work!

Would your brother be able to convert the text to curves and re-upload?

When I open the files here in Illustrator, the fonts change as I don't have his fonts installed.

Also, saving to an earlier Illustrator .eps version would be nice. I have Illustrator 5.5 but it seemed to be able to open the pdf except for the font issue.

Yes and it had the same font substitution problem. .eps (or .pdf) is the standard for high end printing. All logos should have text converted to curves to lock the design in and avoid the need to have the fonts as standard practice.

Tommy, thanks

I could only edit the svg file. I've pulled out each of the separate graphics and uploaded in .eps and .pdf format together with the original "chips" logo.

I had thought of getting somebody I know to recreate the Linuxcnc logo exactly from the chips file but it might have had a cost attached to it so it will have to wait until I finish building my machine...

Note that .eps files are high resolution vectors used in the printing industry but they only display an optional low resolution bit map on screen. They will print perfectly to a postscript printer but you'd need Ghostscript in the loop to print to a non postscript device.

Rod, thank you.
Having a graphic designer for a brother is nice, asked him about 5 or 6 days ago, got it done despite working 20 hours a day, he is also a professional photographer and spring is a lot of work for him. Asked him to do some other stuff too, so waiting to see the results. Regarding Linuxcnc, of course.
P.S.
If you ever need graphic design work, let me know bro, here it is dirt cheap but lately moving upwards in price. Still far cheaper than any developed state. There are some talented designers here.

I looked over this logo, looks great! But I didn't like bitmap for goggles and eyes so I worked on it. I also modified some other stuff so it looks great.

edit: seems direct link dont always work. Link below should always work.
