I have encountered the problem when configuring external pci parport adapter as out (and as in). emc2 thinks that it see the adapter and when i run "setp parport.1.pin-02-out 1" it writes that outval has been changed. But, measuring the voltage between the pin2 and pin25 of parport i have got 0V. The base address of the adapter i have got from "lspci -v" command output. The adapter is NetMos Technology PCI 9835 Multi I/O Controller. It provides 1parallel an 2 serial ports.

by the way: after my pc have boot up I run dmesg, and there I've saw such strings
parport_serial: Unknown symbol parport_pc_unregister_port
parport_serial: Unknown symbol parport_pc_probe_port
As far as I understand parport_serial is a driver for my pci parport adapter. So for the adapter proper work one must upload parport_serial.ko module to the kernel.
In my case some of variables or functions used in parport_serial.ko are not defined in kernel.
Am I right? And what to do with that?

Did you get this fixed? I have the same board, and haven't had any joy yet myself. I'm trying a fresh install with the card installed. See how it goes.
