I need to have hard buttons on the front panel to do PROGRAM HOLD and PROGRAM START. Does anyone know the Hal file lines that will work for these? How about QUILL UP too?

The links in the previous post seem to be bad.

That works!
Thank You!

Please forgive my ignorance, but in the first line on that page:

"Halui is a HAL based user interface for EMC, it connects HAL pins to NML commands."
Waht does "NML" stand for?

Now you mention it, i have no idea.
It doesn't matter, in fact I am not entirely sure it is still true.

Lets say "Halui is an interface that lets you see inside EMC2, and also change values"

Hi RayJr,

NML file is used for defining the communication within EMC. Usually it's done inside one PC, but you can forward GUI to another PC over the Ethernet.
Or for example when you have a pendant with LCD to display messages on it.
