will do. I still think I need to know where to enter the values.
Is stepconf unused after the initial settings are made, I'm getting the sense that's the case?

The ini file is where Stepconf puts acceleration and velocity stuff... does it run now?

Stepconf is designed to create basic configs fast and get a simple machine up and going with a minimum of effort. Once you past that stage you need to learn what the ini and hal file do.

Yes it's running and I have gotten the max velocity and accel set and working fine. Thank you so much for your help. I will study both the hal files to see what I was doing wrong in case I need it in the future. Now I can concentrate on getting the feed rate set for the 3D printer filament. It was impossible to get figured out when the feed rate is set in inches per minute and the table was running in degrees per minute.
Thanks again
Dan

The biggest error I saw was just some confusion over the stepgen and axis numbers and the humpy back signal name in one place and the all lower case name in another.

Can you tell us what was the feed rate you set for your 3D printer filament which worked best for you?

I directly edited the INI file setting for the 4th axis. Scale is the feed rate, mine is set to
SCALE = 5950.0

This is with a 4 to 1 gear ratio on the extruder and a 1/4" hob diameter. This might be slightly high but you can easily fine tune from there in Slic3r. I have my Slic3r Extrusion multiplier set to .92

Once you finish your 3D Printer running on LinuxCNC can you post some links so we can see videos showing the machine doing an actual print job?

Sure, I have about three videos showing various stages of the printer development. Here's probably the best one.
