Relay control without interrupting axis movement. was created by bnion
Dear all,
I built a paste dispensing system based on an old xyz-robot. The process went smootly and I'm really impressed by the capabilities of EMC2.
I have only one problem: I want to interrupt the dispensing of paste while the robot is running continously. If the speed of the dispenser decelerates the dispenser will add and excessive amount of paste to a single location.
A typical work cycle would be:
-start dispensing
-run a circle
-switch the dispenser off (while not stopping)
-run one or two "dry" cirles to get an even result.
If I use "spindle on/off" g-code to control the dispenser, the axis will always stop when the relay switches state. Same thing seems to happen even if I use other outputs. I would appreciate any help in getting this problem solved.
