I am using Ubuntu (10.04 LTS) - the lucid lynx. I need the proper g code to use tool length compensation taking the tool lengths from the tool setup page. I tried g91 g43 h1 z.1 and I get alarms. I don't have any problem using cutter compensation. The program picks up the diameter information from the tool setup page. I just need to know the proper code to input and remove tool length compensation. Any help would be appreciated.

G43 applies length compensation, based on tool-table data.

If you want to set the length in the G-code (and have the value stored in the tool table) then look at G10 L1 and G10 L10.
