which motor and drives Mesa 7i96s was created by Nebra
Hello everyone,
Im new to the subject. I have recently bought mesa 7i96s card and don't know what closed loop stepper driver model, and which motor to use with the card. I am interested into Stepper Driver Model: HBS57 and Stepper Motor model: 57HSE3N.
Can somebody please tell me if this is compatible?
(If not what to use for closed loop stepper motors that will work wit LinucCNC ?)
Thank you in advance!

All stepper motor drives with "step/dir" control type will work with Mesa 7i96S, probably even the older "step up/step down" and "quadrature" ones will work with it.
Just to be sure, you are talking about closed loop steppers, meaning the loop is closed in the drives, right?
I am guessing from the models you mentioned, hence the above answer.

Well this is what i found for this driver model:
theese are the specification:
"Stepper Driver Model: HBS57
Maximum peak current: 5A
Impulse response frequency: 200KHz
Subdivision: 200~51200ppr
Voltage: DC16-70VDC
Pulse Signal: 3.3V/5V/24V compatible. No string resistor required
Protective function: overvoltage, overcurrent, tracking error out of tolerance
Signal input Compatible:5-24V signal (Don’t need a resistor)
Control Way: 32 bit DSP Vector Closed Loop
Advantage: Closed-loop vector control to ensure high-speed and high-torque output of the motor and no step to lose"
So I guess it is closed loop, but since my knowledge is minor I'm afarid to buy something that will not work. That´s why I need somebody to tell me if I buy this components with the card can I expect to be able to use it .
Thank you!

Anything that is step-dir controlled will work. And the ones you are listing are.
