Configurate Slave Axis was created by fedemecanica
hey guys, im new in this forum, and i've been reading a lot, but i cant find a solution.
i have a Router CNC, whose "Y" axis has two step motor.
i used to use the CNC with windows XP and mach 3, and worked fine. in match i just had to configure axis "A" Slave from "Y"
but i cant do the same in EMC2.
what's the solution????
i've read that i can do a slave axis, by wiring in a particular way, but it doesnt work for me...
Thanks!!!

If you used the Stepconf Wizard to generate your configuration and your second drive is connected to separate pins on your parallel port just pick Y Step and Y Direction for the pins connected to your second motor.
If not tell us more about your setup.

I am not clear from this reply if you have tried what JT suggested, or not?
But, if you wanted, you could set every pin on the parport to Y-step. It would be silly, but Stepconf allows it.
If the motors need to run in different directions, just swap the A-phase wires with each other.

A axis, and Y axis, should run exactly the same way....
becuse it's a huge CNC that needs 2 steps motors, to run the same axis
i haven't tried JT's solution yet, i'll do in a few minutes

It's not really an A axis, it's a second motor on the Y axis.
It is rather common for the two motors on a gantry to need to spin in opposite directions, as they tend to be mounted as mirror images of each other.
