hello,

if my machine moves to a limit-switch i can not drive free by "ignore limits".

i only connected my pos and neg switch to only one input and i did try

net z-pos-limit hm2_5i20.0.gpio.061.in

and i changed to

net z-neg-limit hm2_5i20.0.gpio.061.in

both time same problem.

my 1st question:
if i'm on pos-limit, i only can travel to neg-direction ?

my 2nd question:
is it necessary to cut the hardware-wire of the switch to free my axis ?
is the "ignore limits"-button (i hope i write it correct because in german the is a "Grenzwerte aufheben") connected to a output where i have to connect a relais to cut the limit-signal ?

how to manage this problems ?

thanks

wolfgang :-)

If your limits are shared program something like this

net both-home-x <= parport.0.pin-10-in-not
net both-home-x => axis.0.home-sw-in
net both-home-x => axis.0.neg-lim-sw-in
net both-home-x => axis.0.pos-lim-sw-in

This way EMC knows you have only one switch and will allow you to jog in any direction to get off of the switch.

2 No.
