My first successful cut..Sort of was created by jwalter007
Im very happy to say that I had my machine up & running this am for the first time.
I used the initial gcode that comes with LinuxCNC which cuts the name out.
My problem was that it came out mirrored?
Is that a simple setting or do I have my axis set up wrong?
Also, I set up a new tool which I set for 1/4". How do I select that tool?
Thanks
jason

Hi
linuxcnc.org/docs/2.5/html/common/User_C...chine_configurations
Sounds like your SCALE = for X and / or Y axis needs reversing so that it goes the correct way.
(Edit:- underlying problem is often the stepper wired up backwards)
linuxcnc.org/docs/2.5/html/gcode/m-code....sec_m6_tool_change_a
regards
