emc2 will stop with an error when 1st run

hello all
I'm new to Linux and Emc2,
I just installed (not running from CD) 8.04 hardy with EMC2 iso image downloaded from linuxcnc.org

when I run emc from the applications menu, I get to choose I sim package but then I get this message:
