All right,

I finally found the setting.
It's "G61, G61.1, G64 Set Path Control Mode"

G61 force to follow the exact path.

Hi everybody,
I'm new in the cnc world and I managed to configure and install everything my self until now.
But, I cannot found anywhere how to force the machine to cut square angle.

I explain,
When I draw a square for exemple... I generate the code and when it's loaded in EMC, I still see a square path.
Then when I start the machine, It's like the software don't wait to have finish one side to start the second and at the end, I have the square on the right size but with round corner.

I tried different feed and it's related to how wide is the filet.
So I wonder if there is some kind of gcode to pause between line or to wait a little bit.

I'm using RhynoCam to generate the gcode.

Any idea?

Thank you.

actually all you need to do is load the config that you want to copy in pncconf and change the config name on the basic page and then run to the end.
It will save the config with the name you picked.

how about adding in a copy configuration , or backup to file
yes i know we can all use the keyboard but once you have a known good configuration , it would be helpful to know you have it all backed up or can copy to a new config for further modification
including all the hidden files

You should get the 2.4.7 update as an automatic update, or from the Software Centre.

I am thinking of doing that but waiting till I get around to replace the hard drive to get rid of the latency issue that crops up once and awhile upon hard drive access. Doesn't seem to affect operation yet, but I am sure it will bite me one of these times.

I didn't really see it advertised though, is there a different place to get the LiveCD?
Thanks!

If you upgrade to 2.4.7 the pncconf bug fixes will be in there...

Apparently this is the case in my setup - I guess maybe PnCConf sets this up automatically, because I don't believe I selected that anywhere? I tried the code string again and sure enough, if I start with spindle off, it stops at the next line and once I spin up the spindle it proceeds.

I added in some code for the GS2 RPM meter in the post-HAL, but I really did not change anything in the HAL file that was setup in PnCConf besides the bug fixes have to do every time run PnCConf.

Very nifty feature, I must say, but kind of odd that it set itself up 'automatically'!

Thanks for checking!

Here are some inprogress pics of our CHNC1

old control was Simens 810T , plc on it fell over with a memory problem so EMC will take over :) will be our 4th /4rd lathe now

we are chaning the old DC motors to AC 1kw setup and upping its speed alittle also on X and Z
also chanign the turret from Air motor to servo driven so quite abit of mods etc to happen on the turret side

machine with new monitor fitting 17"

Photo of the servo that will drive the turret when finished, mounting housing made

PC & Mesa hardware nearly finished mounting

Spindle , relays etc

It should be possible to get the translation hosted with the other document translations.
You might also want to check the localisation of the software:

But, to my earlier thought, if you have speed feedback to EMC and you tell it to run at S500, won' t it wait until you get in range to proceed?

It can but doesn't do so by default. Look at motion.spindle-at-speed here: linuxcnc.org/docs/html/config_emc2hal.html
and see if it is wired in your HAL (I suspect it probably isn't)
