That is the ini setting. Look in the README file:

Look by the options section for font.

Also you need to make the Axis screen wider to see 11 and 12. There is a way in 10.04 I think to define the default screen size for axis but it escapes me at the moment.

Hi John - it's the font within the tabs - the tabs themselves are too big to fit everything in. For instance on the OD tab there are two positional parameters 11 & 12 - I can't see what they are.

Screen grab shows what I mean.

Thanks John - looks like the tabs internally are using a different larger font to axis itself so not sure where to look.

That might be something inside of Axis that controls the font size... and I'm just guessing.

I can ask Dewey as soon as my internet comes back up (on dial up atm and only this computer connects).

Be sure to run the Latency test first to get the numbers for your computer.

If you have not done so be sure to read the docs here especially the getting started guide.

Looks good.
To get things started select
Stepconf
from the cnc menu and run the set up program to get the motors running.
Later you may have to edit the setup for other devices.
A lot can be learned by looking at the sample configs that are included.

Trying to resize the ngcgui tab contents when embedded in axis without any sucess. Resizing the font doesn't work - one reason is the font defined in the files is helvetica, it's not in the fonts on 10.04? Tried renaming to to Sans - still nothing. Have changed all instances I can find in the ini and tcl files, but the font and the size stay the same

Any ideas where else to look?

Thanks John - found it, it was the TTT_Preamble path.

Need to mess with my custompanel - speed display is in the way and obscures parameters 11 & 12 on a 1024x768 screen

The only way that I know of to get that error is the file is not where you said it is. Look on line 2 to see the path that ngcgui is looking for the file in. I can duplicate that exact error just by renaming one of my subroutines.

Yep - it shows the ngc file in the gcode window but wont run it. It just stops with the near line 26 error

Hi John - been having a look at this today, can get the gui tabs to show but on finalize I get the error

Near line 26 of home/steve/emc2/configs/sb-lathe1/auto.ngc :

Unable to open file <od>

or id or taper-od depending on which tab I selected.

Any ideas?

Now i got almost major parts connected and i need to test and see motors rotating
i wish to find shortcut for setting it with EMC please help
