Bare CNC mill? was created by blazini36
Anyone know of a source for small bare CNC mills? By "bare" ideally it would be complete minus electronics. Looking for something like a Novakon Torus Pro, something that size that was designed as a CNC mill from the start. I have a converted PM25-MV but I'm looking for a machine a tad bigger and I'm trying to avoid all the jank of a CNC conversion, trying to stuff ballnuts and screws in spaces they weren't meant to be.

I do know the mills the Torus Pro was based on was sold by other distributors so I'm sure it was being sold out there in the wild. I always liked that machine, I just didn't want to buy a "Novakon".

Not a fan of that thing. Looking for a normal column style mill.

Haha, you are funny, are you saying you did not even look at it?

Google translate? It was an example for a company (coincidental in Germany) that does custom Mineral and Epoxy castings.

I assume you did not even get the point here. Anyway why do I waste my time with this? Sorry for beeing pathetic.

Dude don't take it so seriously. No I didn't use Google translate to find out the details about the machine because I could tell from the picture it was not the type of machine I'm looking for. That's nothing against you, or the machine, or the supplier. I didn't think to be specific because I mentioned 2 mills by name in my first post so I figured it obvious the type of machine I was looking for.

There are a few machine casting on Aliexpress (not easy to find) with standar VMC configuration. Castings looks quite sturdier than benchtop mills and with everything machined to accept standar comercial components (rails, ballscrew supports, motor mounts, etc). Price is reasonable, I think they could be a great starting point.
