Weird scaling of length driven by axis

Hello there,

i have a weird problem with the scaling of my axis.

The machine is a 3d-printer like setup with timing belts.
the motor is attached directly to the belt pulley which is T5 with 20 Teeth.

In the stepconf wizzard i therefore set the leadscrew pitch to 100mm
The microstepping is set to 1 since there is no microstepping enabled atm and the gear reduction is set to 1:1
The steps per revolution of the motor are set to 200 which seems to be right for the 23km-c051-07v i got.
I also opend it up, it is a hybrid stepper with 8 coils and 2x50 tooth so the 200 steps should be right.

However if i move the axis, the machine moves about factor 8 less than it should.
There seems to be no loss of steps since it is very reproducable.

The units are set to mm so this should be right as well.

Any idea what else could be wrong??

Hi

What does the belt connect to, you have described the motor only?

What figure does your .ini file have set for SCALE = under that axis?

If the belt ends are connected to the axis like a printer then one revolution of the stepper will move the axis 100mm. So your scale should be 5. What is your scale now (it's at the bottom of the axis page in the Stepconf Wizard)?
