Need some guidance about manualtoolchange was created by kt600v
Hello everyone. I have been configuring a CNC Machine using stepconf, just now I'd like to configure the manual toolchange. (everything else is working fine). When linux CNC plays it shows the cone tool, I need some help on how to make manualtoolchange work in my system. How do i use the module manualtoolchange.hal? how to change tools. Many thanks in advance for your reply.

I copied the lines that are in the MTC Hal file and pasted them in my IO Hal file.
When I have an M6 MDI command come up it will ask me to change tools at that point.
Do you need the controller to perform any actions before and after the tool change or is your machine all human work to change tools?

In the Stepconf Wizard on the Options page is a checkbox to add manual tool change. The tools must be touched off prior to doing a tool change. If you have ER collets then you want to touch off before running a program.
