Hello Guys,
i try to get a 2. Spindle ( not 2 Axis ) and i define in the HAL with num_spindles=2 ( see picture ).
In the halui is only one spindle, spindle.0
in "spindle" i found spindle.0 and spindle.1 ... so far so good.
If i try to connect pins with spindle.1. i got a message "unknown pin"
I read the documentation about spindles, but i found only something with the different numbers, but nothing how i can get a 2. spindle.
Have anyone an idea to get it?
thank you so much in advance
best regards
Reinhard

I wonder if halui needs to be told how many spindles are present?

Hello Tim,
thank you so much, but i have it in the INI file.
the problem is, in the documentation is until 8 spindles possible, but nobody descripes how i can get it..
I suppose 99.6% of all users need only one spindle.
Has anybody experience with more like one Spindle?

Hello Tim,
thank you so much, thats it ... i have two spindles in the halui, and if i use in MDI for example with s300 $1 its working with speed 300.
In the Documentation i didnt found something about the [TRAJ] section.
A other question .... its possible to build a Spindle with a Mesa 7i96S with Step and Dir signal?
Have you a solution as well for me ?
Thank you so much in advance
best regards
Reinhard

Yes, you can use step/dir for spindle control,
though it will have to be setup by hand editing
the hal/ini files, because the configuration utilites
don't currently support 2 spindles.

Hello PCW,
of course, it is to do by hand editing the INI and Hal files, but what is to do it, to get it and working.
Have you any idea about it?
