Hi everyone,

The computer on my router recently stopped working and couldn't be repaired.
The company that made our router has gone out of business so no chance of getting any support from them.

I got our IT people to clone the hard drive over to a new computer.
In my naivety I thought it would be plug and play.

New computer specs:
Processor: Intel Skylake Core i5 6400 2.7Ghz
- Storage: 250GB Solid State Drive
- Memory: 8GB DDR4

PCI card is:

Screenshots of the errors and how the old system was set up.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I would advise you make a new config, use steconf wizard to do it, you already have all the pins of parallel port writen there, so it should take less than 10 minutes. Later on you can try to make the old config work, but besides how the screen ( user interface) looks, you can use any computer with parallel port and decent latency, any version of Linuxcnc, and any PCI parallel port card. PCI-E tend to be more hit and miss.
Also there is another user on this forum that i remember seeing that user interface.

It is interesting that there is so little clue to what has gone wrong.

The only thing I see is "can't execute TASK program"

Do any of the sample configurations work?

Well I got it going.

I changed "0x378 out" to "0xd010 0xd000 out" in the hal.

I got the I/O ports for my new PCI-e d010 and d000 from running lspci =v in the terminal.

Now to figure out how to get the serial port going to run the VFD.

I can run the VFD manually so will get me up and running in the mean time.

That's very odd, as there was no error message about not finding the parport, and I really would expect one.
