Its one of a series of components I've written and documented for plasma in the plasma and laser section on the forum.
This one just makes it easy to use the Mesa THCAD board in LinuxCNC so should work in 2.5 but to go any further, you need to be using the dgarr/external_Offsets branch as it contains a PID based THC component

I believe this was just a sample section of HAL code to show that one input can drive several outputs very easily in HAL.
