I am trying to get a 7i77 up with a 7i92. Not my first rodeo as I have used many of this combo.

But I cant get any pins to show up. And linuxcnc doesn't see the 7i77.
I set the boards up so that the 7i92 is supplying 5v to the boards on both connectors. There is 5v sitting on the 7i77 5v connector.
field voltage has 24v connected to it also.
Have a 7i74 but not yet connected.

I am wondering if the 7i77 could be bad or should I look elsewhere. This job is not near me so cannot just hop on down there.

Purchased the 7i92 , 7i77 and 7i74 with a 7i70 and 7i71 together, so I assume the correct firmware was loaded on the 7i92.

It is remote so I am wondering whether I should just send out a know good 7i92 with 7i77 or attempt tp troubleshoot remotely.

The error is 7i77 input-00 not found. That's why linuxcnc is not stating and I think the 7i77 is defective.

Check the vfield jumper as i can not see it in the picture, and 7i92 comes with .... i have no clue, had a lot of them and have now here 4 but i never check what the firmware is just flash what i need.
Having said that, i have bought several 7i92/7i77/7i74 but i always had to flash the firmware for it.
I am also very sure that at some point i had downloaded and flashed a bit file from i don't know where that had the connectors reversed and made a fool of myself asking PCW why it is not working while it was working ok before flashing.

You need to flash the right firmware. To get it working.
Out of the box it doesn’t fit
