Hello, i'm modeling a new ATC spindle for my CNC router, i have a mesa 7i76e so i want to add a spindle encoder, but, i've made some searches and i haven't found none, the main problem is that the spindle is a 24k rpm one, coupled to the main ATC shaft though a 2:1 belt reduction. I've found an inexpensive hall effect encoder (AS5600) but it's I2C and the 7i76e needs an ABZ encoder. So, someone knows where to find an inexpensive hall effect encoder with ABZ output, or a normal absolute encoder that can reach at least 6k rpm?

Any 5V incremental encoder should do.

Even with spindle orient for ATC? Can i use an inductive proximity sensor to define the position of orientation of the spindle?

Sorry for so many questions, i've never used an ABZ encoder neither i've worked a lot with spindle positional feedback

Yes.
An old Hurco had such a sensor for orienting .
