mesaflash downloaded and compiled from github and it cant find my 7i92.

It says No 7i92 found. I can ping it so I know it is there. 5v is connected also.

Is there a document for mesaflash? I need to understand why I have a hard time everything I try to use mesaflash. sometimes it works some times it does not.

linuxcnc starts and I/O is working.

Mesaflash cant find the 7i92. I need to flash it with 7i77 and 7i74 firmware
Is it called another name?

I had the same issue a few weeks ago onsite at a customers place.

ok I figured it out. Very frustrating with no manual on mesaflash.

For some reason if you have it set to 192.168.1.121 it will work but 10.10.10.10 you need to add the --addr

Is there a way to check which bit file is loaded without having card attached?

OK I got it figured out.

The 7i92 manual has a terminal line to verify the installed flash. If you know what bit file you are looking for you can confirm it is there and will need to add the --addr line if it's not the 192.168.1.121

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to be disrespectful. It didn't come out the way I meant it to. I really appreciate all the help and the efforts you all put in.

Everything is working. I just cannot find out how to tell what bit file is loaded.

Most probably you already have the downloaded files for the 7i92 from mesa, there are bit files and pin files for most configs, so do a readhmid and open the pin files to check the pinout.
I never bother to find out what is already there, chances are it will not fit what i need, so i just flash what i need and move on.
