Hello,

I use a mesa-type 7i76 card.

Can I connect directly to the outputs of the electromagnetic type relay omron MY4 or should only SSR ?

Best regards,

Pierre

Which model of relay is it? There are many coil options in the MY range.

The 7i76 outputs can drive 300mA (with a 1.4A limit for any block of 8 outputs).
For a 24V coil relay in the MY range (38mA) there should be no problem, the 7i76 manual says
"This means that flyback diodes are not normally
required on small (less than 60 mA) inductive loads"
For 5V or 12V loads you would probably want to use a flyback diode. MY relays with part-numbers ending in "D2" have such a diode built in.

Not my omron are not D2

MY4
I have a 38 mA value on my Omron MY4

I also have a stock of Allen-radley 700-TBR24.
TBR24
I have a value of 10 mA

If necessary to avoid damaging my mesa cards.
I use static relays.

What do you think ?

The manual says that 60mA is fine without flyback diodes and 300mA is OK with flyback diodes. Either of the relays you have will be fine.
