Possess Debian 10 with LinuxCNC and configured to 7I96S without spindle.  Operable and no error except firmware with spindle but ignored.  However, I just wanted to see if my new customize control box without spindle and spindle encoder configured to the 7I96S yet and old BRIX mini PC assembled correctly and if LinuxCNC would launch a lathe profile.  It was a success and automation okay.

My latest mini PC is a NUC with Debian 12.1, LinuxCNC 2.9.0 and foregoing control box.  The LinuxCNC simulation launched okay.  The ip -a pinged okay.  The PnCConf Wizard with spindle, attempted launching profile and an error.  Alternatively, the PnCConf Wizard without spindle, attempted launching profile and error again.  Consequentially, I copied the BRIX /linuxcnc/configs/sherline_lathe_chucker/sherline_lathe_chucker.ini profile (that launched okay earlier) and pasted it to the NUC /linuxcnc/configs/chucker_no_spindle/chucker_no_spindle.ini profile.  Still not launching LinuxCNC.  Please see 'Screenshot from 2023-08-06 11-13-48_config.png' to show error.

I reconnected the RJ45 into the BRIX and 7I96S, powered-on the PC and control box, launched the same LinuxCNC lathe profile as earlier and the axes jogged okay.  Why isn't the NUC launching a configured LinuxCNC profile that matches the BRIX?

Looks like a network setup issue

It appears the network interface is configured correctly.  The foregoing image shows the ping of some packets transmitting.

I already disabled Secure Boot if the were an issue before attempting to launch LinuxCNC lately.  Could Wi-Fi be an issue, however, I haven't configured it to a router and no internet connection when attempting to launch LinuxCNC?  Could there be any other obstacles and what?

That ip -a foregoing meant ping 10.10.10.10 .

Try setting the netmask to /24

Is that such as 255.255.255.0 (networkencyclopedia.com/subnet-mask/)?

I tried netmask /24 but LinuxCNC still not launching.

The axes motors were already tuned with the BRIX, Debian 10, LinuxCNC 2.8.0., per edited and updated /sherline_lathe_chucker.ini file.  The /chucker_no_spindle.ini file is a copy of /sherline_lathe_chucker.ini. and the only difference with the /chucker_no_spindle.ini file appears is improved latency (SERVO_PERIOD = 15585) and CARD=hm2_7i96s.0 .

Any other ideas why LinuxCNC not launching?

You set the IP address to 255.255.255.0 rather than the netmask

Were you referring to append /24 to 10.10.10.1 ?  That'd become 10.10.10.1/24 .
