7i96s Output Wiring to Drivers

Hi Guys

Trying to wire up my steppers to use enable function so they turn on with F2
using output to supply the +5Volts

Have i understood how it works with the wiring?  as per diagram using SSR to basically to act as a switch

on pncconf and setting output 01 to "Machine is Enabled" as the function

Your diagram looks good.  Make sure to pay close attention to the 7i96s output polarity when you wire it up for real.

got it wired up, but its actually working in reverse to how i want it. so need to double check what ive done wrong.

with power to 7i96s and power to drivers
on boot of linuxcnc they are active.
and when i hit F2, power to drivers turns off.... 

The enables are tricky, they work opposite ti what you expect.

When there is no signal to the enable, the drivers are enabled. When there is a signal to the driver enable the drives are disabled. Check the manual for your drivers.
