UBUNTU10.04 LINUXCNC2.7 pncconfig

anyone using ubuntu10.04 linuxcnc 2.7 pncconfig 5i25 and 7i77 with succes?.... in me case I can't use pnncconfin that not show all configuation page ....My suspect is that.... when update from 2.6 to 2.7 not all dependecy needed update with linuxcnc 2.7 and sometings go aout...... someone knows how dependacy are important to check?

I have a 3 machines running 2.7 on a Ubuntu 10.04 installs. One of them is using a Mesa 5i25-7i77 combo. The install on that machine started out with and was originally configured on 2.5, and was later upgraded numerous times until now. With the upgrade to 2.7 I did have to update the firmware on the Mesa cards. It ran fine even before that, it just gave a warning that the firmware needed updated, but it still worked.

I have not tried to use PNConfig since updating to 2.7.

My other machines, one is using a 5i25/7i85S combo and just parallel ports on the other. Neither of these are having any problems right now. (The first of those machine's install dates back to EMC2 2.4)

I just updated a test machine (a Intel D525) running Ubuntu10.04 from 2.5.4 to 2.7

pncconf works as expected

That is, when I select internal 5i25 config and 7i77x2 with one 7I77,
as soon as I press the accept changes button, a 7I77 I/O and a 7I77 PWM tab appear
the 7I77 I/O tab has the TB7 and TB8 I/O and the 7I77 PWM tab has the TB5 I/O:

@PCW I use the same link .... but very tanks because you've test a with similar card of mine ..... mne is d255... tomorrow i try to re-download and re-install and re-update......... I hope this time work all fine.

today I downloaded new iso ubuntu10.04 + linuxcnc2.5 .... verify with md5sum (ok) ... installed ... run stepconf 1 time with parallel port ok! Using software source and synaptic I upgrade to 2.6.10 ... re.run the pc.... run stepconf 1 time with parallel port ok! ... re.run the pc ....Using software source and synaptic I upgrade to 2.7.1 ....re.run the pc.... run stepconf 1 time with parallel port ok! ... run PnConfig ... the same NOT APPEAR TB5 CONNECTOR ....


Than I downloaded 5i25.zip from this store.mesanet.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=55 ... wit sudo nautilus I've create 5i25 folder in /lib/firmware/hm2 with only 5i25_7i77x2.xml and .pin file .... sudo apt-get install mesaflash ....

sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --write /home/k1/5i25/configs/hostmot2/5i25_7i77x2.bit
sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --reload
sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --verify /home/k1/5i25/configs/hostmot2/5i25_7i77x2.bit

all ok ...... try launch pnconfig again whit 5i25 selection .... only 7i77x2 config is possible .... accept ...same result not ss0 and ss1 windows. :evil: :evil: :evil:

did you press the accept changes button , after selection ?
