When you start your spindle as you have it configured now it starts at 1rpm and increments up in 100 RPM increments. In the Axis (the default user interface) when the display section of the ini file does not have a setting for 'DEFAULT_SPINDLE_SPEED = " the speed the spindle will start at is 1rpm. To have your spindle start at another speed when you use the manual spindle start button in the user interface add the line DEFAULT_SPINDLE_SPEED = 1000 to the [DISPLAY] Section of the ini file to have the spindle start at 1000 rpm.

Will do some setup tomorrow now that we have it working, some tweaking still to do get the scale correct so commanded speed will be correct.

Where can I find information on how to get LCNC screen to be scaled to 800x600 and get the Spindle at Speed small window fully visible as well as LCNC screen?

Thank you for all support to both of you Andy and Todd.

Now to finish setting up your spindle feedback. You will need to add a few more lines of hal code.
Here is where to look in the documentation.

What happens if you press the "maximise" button?

There is a program called "devilspie" that I have never used but have seen mentioned in this sort of context.

Above the screen is already maximized.

Above with side-panel is totally useless as it cannot be scaled.
Will try to remove the side-panel and try to install gmoccapy instead as it has all info needed on screen.

Andy, unfortunately I don't think that is going to help him. I'm afraid Axis with a pyvcp add on does not fit on his maximum 800x600 screen resolution.

You can use one of the lower resolution user interfaces such as TKlinuxcnc, or Mini. Also, I think Gaxis_no_plot might fit, but I'm not sure how functional it is.

So how do I go about scaling the gmoccapy screen?

Made an error and maximized window at start up = now I cannot get back to maintanence.
What line to edit in gmoccapy_preferences?
