The software/Gateware is open source; as for the hardware, it’s up to each individual. It can certainly be closed source and used commercially.Hi Tim if you can post the Gerbers or Kicad that would be useful since Riocore is a open source project.
Cheers

Thanks Tim
I already have a Tangobob. I just comented on this forum for others. Your board is very well designed.
warm regards

Ofcourse I already have the TangoBOB. My post was only to see if Tim's board was not a comercial product. It is wess designed your dedication is commendable.

Thank you Tim,
Thanks very much for the details; I’ve entered the board’s details as best I could,
I hope it’s all correct so far – please do have a look over it.
What’s not quite clear to me yet is, how do you flash it? Are there any connectors on the back?
You’re also welcome to send me some text and a link for the description, and I’ll update it.

Hi,I am trying to add a 16DI/16DO Modbus RTU module (N4D3E16) via an RS-485 transceiver on the tangnano9k on RioCore. When running fpga compilation, Verilog synthesis fails in Gowin EDA with the following error:
ERROR (CT2000) syntax error near token "mbus0"

please add your json config, i take a look
okok, can reproduce it: ERROR (CT2000) : "/mnt/data2/src/riocore/Output/Tangbob/Gateware/fpga0/pins.cst":69 | 'syntax error' near token 'mbus0'

Hi,I am currently configuring a Modbus RTU I/O expansion board with RioCore / RioFlow, and I ran into two issues:1. Unable to read digital inputs (N4D3E16 board)
- Board model: N4D3E16 (16 Digital Inputs / 16 Digital Outputs over RS485 Modbus RTU).
- Current status: Controlling all 16 digital outputs works without any issues. However, I am unable to read the status of the 16 digital inputs.
- I am following the register addressing and function codes described in the board's documentation (which I have attached). Could you check if there is an issue with how RioCore handles the Modbus function code (e.g., FC02 vs FC03 / register offset) for this mapping?
2. RioFlow device renaming bug in LinuxCNC- When I assign a custom name to the devices in the RioFlow interface, LinuxCNC throws an error on startup and fails to load.
- If I leave the device names blank (default), LinuxCNC starts and runs properly.
