never trired OpenOCD, but you can send me the error mesage of the openfpgaloader.
with openocd you should make sure that it is written to the flash and not just to the ram, otherwise everything will be gone again after a restart
You can see whether it has worked by the flashing LED
btw, the default ip is '192.168.10.194'
the w5500 module has a little power led on the bottom, there is no jumper to power on/off this module.
not realy shure what you mean with the mapping,
the bob pins are mapped 1:1, if you need P17 (relais) on the BOB, you can use 'LEFT:P17' in your config.
Attachment not found
if your BOB is connected to the other connector on the right, then you need to use 'RIGHT:P17'
So for a standard 3 axis mill, is the below scheme for wiring somewhat right. I have no idea how to make a config for a lathe Though! The second image has a funny output as marked

I'm sure one on my exes had a Common Vagina, everyone used it.
I had a look inside once and I'll swear I saw a Texan looking for his horse.
Serial Port looks a little weird as well.

The wiring will work for 3-4Axis mill and for Lathe.
For Lathe you need to set 'LinuxCNC->Machinetype' to lathe
and maybe remove 2 stepdir plugins.
If you need a Spindle-Encoder, you can add it freely to the other free ports.

I am currently in the process of adding a little rpi gpio support,
I'm only building this in so that I can use the local gpio's in addition to the FPGA,
but you can also use it without the FPGA, I don't know if that really has an advantage over manual configuration.
At least the tool takes over the calculation of the out/exclude masks.
Branch: parport_test (btw, parport support will be added soon, it's just difficult to test at the moment)

New plugin to read position from cheap calipers, unfortunately too slow for position feedbacks (~ 8Hz)

That's really cool, I'm working on translating the captions but I notice you are driving an AC servo, does that mean we could theoretically drive some large AC servo motors with this ?

Thanks,
yes, theoretically this also works with large servos, but this also requires large power amplifiers.
it is better to run something like this separately on real servo drivers.
