Hi,
I have started to build an MPG,
based on an ESP32s2.
At the moment it is still connected via USB, but later it should run via WLAN and/or ESPnow

I am not yet sure how to assign the buttons:

3 Spindle On/Off

4 Flood On/Off

5 Set selected axis to zero (long press)

6 Scale 0.1 (long press: 1.0 ?)
6b Scale 0.01 (long press: 0.001 ?)

enc1 (toggle function ?)

enc2 (toggle function ?)

enc3 (toggle function ?)

does anyone have an idea ?

I cant wait for wifi mode connection. Is it possible to make something like serial communication over wifi?
Will it be possible to connect more esp32 devices over wifi at once?

do you mean wifi or esp_now ?

esp_now using wifi hardware but without the overhead, so it's more stable and faster,
no AP needed.

it is possible to connect multiple devices via wifi and via espnow,
but in this project, only one MPG is supported.

about 'normal' WIFI, i don't know if i support this in the future because espnow runs so so good and a 2. esp32 for the host-side costs not so much.

so one ESP32 will be attached to LinuxCNC machine via USB (serial) like the master device and slave devices will communicate with master using espnow?
