Using the command line is like...........
Correct punctuation (including Commas) is very important ...
Punctuation! is the difference between …
Helping your Uncle, Jack, off a horse.
and
Helping your uncle jack off a horse.

i use nomachine and it works great
delete all the stuff in your downloads folder via gui,
redownload nomachine
then open your file browser to the downloads folder or wherever no machine was downloaded
click the "open terminal here"
then type "sudo dpkg -i no"
after typing "no" hit the tab button and that will autofill the rest. This only works if their isnt another file in the same folder that starts with no. hence why you delete everything in the downloads folder

I still maintain that no machine just to edit a couple of files or run a simple gui app is akin to driving a finishing nail in with a 100T pile driver.
SSH is the way to go, it doesn't require installation of a new package and doesn't require the running of a service mostly written in python if memory serves me correct.

maybe ill revisit this at some point but for right now its not a priority.
Thank you all for your help, we can close this one out, not sure what to do for that.
