Remap M8 and M9 how to change iocontrol.0.coolant-mist? was created by anfänger
Hello,
I have a mill and mounted my mist coolant on an moving arm, so it van be moved out of the way for tool change.
I can move the arm with custom M codes. Now I want to remap M8 and M9 but I wonder ho can I set the iocontrol bits to turn my coolant of? Or can I still use M8 and M9 in the scripts even when I remap it?
Thanks Patrick

as you say yu move by coustom Mcode
so nothing change
NO remap needed
its simply a ON/OFF event
and the movement is given by a USERMCODE
Change your postprocessor to implement Your USERMCODE
and use the M8/M9 as it is decided to
the UserMcode can call a NGC file that moves your arm
like wise
M160 (arm in Move)
M8 Coolent on
........
.....
Coolent off
M161 (move Arm Out)
