G code Generators was created by BigJohnT
Around December 2007 I started writing the Simple G code Generators in Python and Tkinter. I'm re-writing them with Python 3 and PyQt5. I have the facing routine done AFAIK if anyone would like to test it that would help. There is a deb that will install a menu item in the LinuxCNC menu if it is there, otherwise it goes in Utilities I think.

My guess is units and a proper preamble... and cut depth and step depth are not negative but if it makes more sense they could be...

Thanks for testing.

And it looks like I'd be better off using Python decimal numbers instead of floats.

Milling uses negative values for everything Z under the top of the material that is 0, and positive for above the material top and safe height and rapid moves.

Ok, I'll change that. I added units to the first page and uploaded a new deb.

Thanks again for testing and input.

You can save the settings now and I've fixed the precision to 4 places.

What type of path should a pocket routine use? Just G1 or an arc in the corners?
