Oh boy :(

may be you'd like to go back to school and learn reading ...

I have very little sparetime - may be few hours a weekend - so I dedicate myself on functional work.
I didn't even think about things, that could make playground kiddies happy!

With a carefully managed tooltable - and linuxcnc already supports that - nobody really needs such kinky things.
So everything is possible, but I don't have the time or need to go for it.

Cheers Reinhard

Jon got the button to function. If you'd like the code bits that made it happen, they were placed in the univpwm_io.hal file of Jon's config files. And the code is this:

net tool-number <= iocontrol.0.tool-prep-number
net tool-change-loopback iocontrol.0.tool-change => iocontrol.0.tool-changed
net tool-prepare-loopback iocontrol.0.tool-prepare => iocontrol.0.tool-prepared

Everything works now. All that's left is to verify the accuracy of the physical machine. Waiting on tools for that, now.

Thank you for your help. It's fantastic what so many have amassed in information and are wiling to give to see others succeed.
