I tried hard to install "RT-Preempt, MachineKit, IgH EtherCAT master, linuxCNC-Ethercat HAL driver" on Raspberry-PI 2.

I create my own setup(attached), based on the demo files:
github.com/sittner/linuxcnc-ethercat/tre...eneric-complex/CPD17

When I run machinekit, I got error:
Code:
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ machinekit /usr/share/linuxcnc-ethercat/examples/generic-complex/Basic/basic.ini MACHINEKIT - 0.1 Machine configuration directory is '/usr/share/linuxcnc-ethercat/examples/generic-complex/Basic' Machine configuration file is 'basic.ini' Starting Machinekit... io started halcmd loadusr io started basic.hal:6: insmod failed, returned -1: rtapi_app_main(motmod): -1 Operation not permitted See /var/log/linuxcnc.log for more information. Any hint? Thanks!

It looks like you're using machinekit, not linuxcnc. This page details how to contact the machinekit community: www.machinekit.io/community/home/

Yes, this is indeed the problem of Machinekit, not linuxCNC. Although machinekit is forked from linuxCNC.
