Seen here when loading axis_mm sim on RIP linuxcnc on Armbian OS on Odroid N2
Code:
USRMOT: ERROR: command timeout emcMotionInit: emcTrajInit failed waiting for s.joints<0>, s.kinematics_type<0> waiting for s.joints<0>, s.kinematics_type<0> Waiting for component 'inihal' to become ready..waiting for s.joints<0>, s.kinematics_type<0> .........USRMOT: ERROR: command timeout emcMotionInit: emcTrajInit failed ...waiting for s.joints<0>, s.kinematics_type<0> .................USRMOT: ERROR: command timeout emcMotionInit: emcTrajInit failed .........A configuration error is preventing LinuxCNC from starting. More information may be available when running from a terminal. .Shutting down and cleaning up LinuxCNC...

The system is likely broken, but I have no clue where to look.
It may be related but there is no data in latency test. Odd

Old processors with new kernels.
Had the same issue several times when testing older PC's, screenshots are attached in the "older PC's for LinuxCNC use" or similar named topic on this forum.
Sorry, but i never bothered to check why, a guess would be lack of support for the processors in new kernels.

Nah, the processor is current, just its a 6 core ARM64 CPU.
I've worked it out now. The PREEMPT_RT patch I built is broken.
Linuxcnc works perfectly before I apply the RT patch.
So back to the drawing board!
