Have you considered using the hardware RCPWM?
It would have much better resolution than a software PWMgen
especially since the full scale RC PWM range is only 1 ms
I saw the component you told me about... but it doesn't do what I need... and if I need to connect other components (net) I can also use PWMGEN
also from the hostmot2 info I didn't understand where RCPWM puts the output pin and this stopped me from understanding the component
