thcad + stepper driver is possible?

Hello everybody, I have a Mesa 5i25 + 7i76 + Hyperterm 65 . I am thinking of changing my thc for a thcad card from mesa. in the z axis I have a stepper motor so my doubt is if is posible using thcad with stepper motor or need a servo motor ? if is posible use with stepper motor could anyone show a digram conection so I don't realize how to hook it ups.

Any type of Z axis should work, the THCAD only provides the torch voltage to hal
Any drive type can be supported with the proper hal setup.

I suspect step drives are much more common for torchheight control than servo systems

The thc component is designed to support steppers for Z with the THCAD card. I have both THCAD cards in stock.
