Mesa Ethernet cards need the uspace version of LinuxCNC and a Preempt-RT kernel, Heres. one way to do this:

linuxcnc.org/docs/html/getting-started/g...th_preempt_rt_kernel

Manual says

The 7I76Es outputs can drive loads of up to 350 mA.

Is this 350mA each output?

Cheers

Its a bit complex because the driver chips have 8 outputs per chip
and the chip will dissipate too much heat if all outputs are loaded with 350 mA

The individual output limit is 350 mA, but there's also a limit of 1.4A per chip
(8 consecutive outputs)

Also any inductive load that draws more than 60 mA needs a flyback diode

Usually that means that there's a network setup issue of some kind

I would make sure you can ping the card before proceeding

Note that the 192.168.1.121 address is often handy for setup, its usually not a good
choice for a final working system as its liable to overlap a common NAT range
s0 the 10.10.10.10 address is usually better.

bash: /linuxcnc/configs/mesa7i96: No such file or directory
stever@debian-LP:~$

Right, so there's a network setup issue

what does
ifconfig -a
print?
(if you are running wheezy you may need /sbin/ifconfig -a)
