I know the docs say to use between 8-32 volts for field voltage. My friend insists on using 5vdc for field voltage despite the manual stating 8-32vdc.
What might one expect when using 5vdc instead of the required minimum 8vdc?
It is working so far with the 5vdc...... energizing relays and inputs.

5V will work for VFIELD but not for VIN (VIN must be 8 to 32V)
The disadvantage of 5V VFIELD is less noise immunity on inputs and somewhat
lower current rating on outputs

OK great. Yeah I insisted on the 12vdc for the VIN, and we split using 5vdc for for field voltage only because he wanted to use his existing 5v relay boards....
