this is from lspci -v command :

01:00.0 Parallel controller: Oxford Semiconductor Ltd Device c110 (prog-if 02 [ECP])
Subsystem: Oxford Semiconductor Ltd Device c110
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 16
I/O ports at 2008
I/O ports at 2000
Capabilities: <access denied>
Kernel driver in use: parport_pc

I need to configure it into EPP mode to use it with mesaflash.

mesaflash --device 7i90 --epp --addr 0x2008 --readhmid

On my motherboard in the bios there is a setting for it. Mine was defaulted to epp, but it is an onboard legacy connection

Did you try both addresses?

What was the result?

If the port has a IEEE1284 compatible register set, both
LinuxCNC amd Mesaflash should set it into EPP mode

How is the 7I90 connected to the card?
Is the 7I90 configured properly? (only yellow power light on after power up)
