Latency test is aprox 5000 ns max jitter. using firefox playing youtube videos while i use the pc normally.

The power supply is from an old pc. I tryed with 2 different but tomorrow i will search something "smaller". What is the max voltage that the mesa card accept? is written 5v, but 6 will already kill the board?

Hi,
I have done some test with 3 different types of power supply but always same problems. I dont'think that is the problem...

I tryed also to take out the second network card (that normally use for internet) but no improvement.

What is strange is that sometimes the card have the right structure (with inmux) , athers times don't have the inmux.

always i become the error finihing read after some times (i tryed also tu put servoperiod = 2000000 (2ms) but not really better..

Can you give me the original mesa 7i95 bitfile (6 encoder/6 stepgen/ 6 output/ 23 input without doughter card connected) ? I would like to check if there is the right one bitfile on the board..(on www.mesanet.com/ there is no 7i95 file... )

there is also other things that i can do on network delays?
Thnk you

What PC?
Run a latency test and post a screenshot of it
latency-histogram --nobase --sbinsize 1000 --show

The PC seems good and latency is very good, but that bring the next question:
what does
uname -a
say ?

That all looks OK, so it might be a hardware issue on the 7I95,
What Ethernet chip is used on the host PC?

06:06.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8100/8101L/8139 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter (rev 10)
06:0c.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 13)

can you give me the original 7i95 bitfile? I will try to check the firmware and if necessary to flash it new

There actually is only one 7I95 user bitfile currently (the one thats pre-loaded in to 7I95 cards)

I would probably distrust the Marvell MAC for real time but the Realtek should be OK
