Sorry we had the parameters set to enable on power up on the Z axis servo.
So above info from me was incorect.
I have spoken to the Yaskawa engineer who wired this up and he assures me all wiring is as per Mesa documentation.
Any way to check if Mesa 7i97 board is switching the enable?

Yes, if wired to the drive enable as expected, the voltage across
ENAN+ and ENAN- should drop from ~+24V to ~+0.6V when LinuxCNC
is in the machine on state (F2 pressed)

I am having a problem with the Y and Z anologue output it appears nothing is switching them on.
I can jog the X axis and get an output on Anlogue0, but nothing on Analogue1 or 2 when trying to jog.
althogh for some unkonwn reason if I try to jog Z axis on analogue2 the analogue 3 output has 10v on it and its switching on and of as I try to jog,
but nothing on analogue 2.
can the 7i97 analogue output be faulty on analogue 1 and 2 ?
Can someone alter the basic 7i97 ini/hal for me to use on the other analogue outputs ie 4 and 5 for Y and Z pls.
else can I send the board back to u guys for testing.
Running Debian 10 Buster  with linuxcnc 2.8.2

 There is an error in the basic7i97.hal file that has been corrected.

The error is that the PID enables 1 and 2 were not connected
These are the missing lines:

net y-enable   => [HMOT](CARD0).pwmgen.01.enable
net z-enable   => [HMOT](CARD0).pwmgen.02.enable

Here is an updated hal/ini file set:

You might try my 7i97 Configuration Tool, I "think" everything is working as planned. I can only test the I/O and that the configuration loads until I get the cables for my Panasonic servo. I should be getting them sometime this month.
